kWh AnalyticsClimate insurance provider, collaborated with Nex trackerA manufacturer of Zonne Tracker, which resulted in a 50% reduction In severe convective storm deductible for a solar project in Arkansas. This partnership shows how the implementation of strategic technology can improve the insurance conditions and at the same time improve the risk reduction for assets for renewable energy.

The collaboration was initiated when traditional carriers were not prepared to cover the hail risk of a municipal solar developer, a growing challenge for solar assets in heavy weather regions. KWH Analytics, which acknowledges that the project used the solar tracking systems from Nexpracker, developed an insurance structure with low -dedications hail limits that depend on the implementation of NexTracker NXTracker NX Pro Automated Stow Technology.

“This collaboration with Nexpracker is an example of how data -driven insurance technical resilience measures can stimulate and benefit all stakeholders,” said Jason Kaminsky, CEO of KWH Analytics. “By quantifying the risk reduction of advanced technologies such as automated hail bump, we can offer significantly improved insurance conditions.”

The NX Horizon Tracker system has nuclear technology that stores without trusting schedule. The NexPracker Asset Management team collaborated with the municipal utility to upgrade existing Tracker systems to record Hail Pro Control System and Firmware, with automatic storage options being implemented. These improvements include the integration of DTN -Hagel prediction service and the tailor -made hail bumps from Nexpracker, which cause automatic storage of the hail, the proximity of the site and probability of impact.

“As extreme weather conditions become more frequent, the ability to actively limit the hail risk becomes essential for owners of solar assets and insurers,” said Andrew Griffiths, VP of Asset Management, Nextracker. “Our Hail Pro technology provides a measurable value by keeping critical infrastructure in the field and in this case contributes to lower insurance policies. This collaboration proves that smarter Tracker design and advanced software can strengthen the assets and the project economy.”
