AXPO has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with EDF Renewables Hellas for two sun factories of a total of 102 MW in the Viotia region in Greece.

Swiss energy company Axpo is one PPA Covered two solar energy plants from EDF Renewable energy sources Hellas, the Greek arm of EDF Renewable energy sources.

The agreement includes the combined outputs of the Skala Korinis and Loutsa Power Plants, both based in central GreeceA total of 102 MW. Further details about how the energy will be used were not announced.

AXPO’s last agreement follows the signing of his first PPA in Hungary and a business PPA IN CroatiaBoth agreed in March.

A statement from the company says that its new PPAs in the short term in Greece “help optimize the entire value chain of electricity by combining insights and knowledge of the local market with [its] European expertise, resources and infrastructure. “

‘This collaboration reinforces the dedication of EDF Renewables to maximize the potential of renewable energy and to speed up the energy transition, which contributes to the low -carbon of the Greek economy,“Antonis Xenios added, Edf Renewables Hellas CEO. The company claims to have A renewable portfolio through its subsidiaries with an estimated potential capacity of 4.5 GW.

Greece installed 2.6 GW From solar energy in 2024, which brings the cumulative solar capacity to 9.6 GW.
