Castillo Engineering, a solar engineering company on Nuts scale with headquarters in Maitland, Florida, invested $ 2.5 million in two separate own software platforms, PMO 360 And design IQ, and expanded his senior staff to send the company that is now equipped with these programs.

PMO (Project Management Office) 360 was devised to increase project transparency with customers, to reveal information such as engineering plans, timelines, staff and array components in real time on a dashboard that is available for project managers. The company hopes that the granting of up-to-date access to project technology will reduce errors resulting from miscommunication.

“We wanted to ensure that we made something that is unique on the market, in contrast to generic tools used throughout the industry – which means in the construction sector in general,” said Rick Castillo, founder and COOO of Castillo Engineering. “From all the years that I have worked with customers, I just decided that I wanted to make something that was very transparent. Everything that is expected with regard to the project is presented to them.”

Design IQ is a PV project design software that uses data from Castillo Engineering’s Portfolio or Array Assets to schedules project schemes. The program is automated and has a single interface, which can generate relevant calculations and AutoCAD designs.

Via Design IQ, data from previous projects can be applied to new ones with comparable design challenges. It is designed to reduce the requirements of Solar Project Engineering, while the industry is experiencing a shortage of qualified engineers, said Christopher Castillo, CEO of Castillo Engineering.

“We have a lot of experience with customers and the challenges they experience in many, if not all, of their projects,” said Gary Joseph, VP of Sales and Marketing at Castillo Engineering. “We have taken all those lessons for a certain period and decided that that is the priorities that we were an eye on.”

Castillo Engineer uses PMO 360 and design IQ exclusively in the house for the solar services on utilities.
