Gstar has launched his first N-type solar module and his new production basis in the Philippines.
The module has N-type 183.75 mm cells in a 72-cell bifacial dual glass size. The PV manufacturer established in Singapore said in a statement that by reducing cell distance and maximizing the active area, the module achieved a peak output of 595 W and conversion efficiency of 23.03%.
The module, designed for commercial and industrial applications and large-scale solar energy plants, is equipped with laser-not-destructive scribing, SMBB technology and input with high density. The company said that the module also offers high bifaciality, improved performance with little light and lower temperature coefficients.
Gstar noted that the launch of the module also marks the official effect of its factory in the Philippines, west of Manila in Subic Bay.

The company has completed the basic construction of the facility, which currently has a production capacity of 1 GW for solar modules and 1.5 GW for solar cells.
The mass production of the new module will start on May 18. A second construction phase of the production basis is planned, which will take the nameplate capacity of the solar module up to 2 GW.
Gstar’s other production facilities include one 3 GW Silicon Wafer Factory In Indonesia. The received site Monocrystalline Growthavs in April.
The company has signed a memorandum of agreement for a production project of 2 GW Solar Module In the United Arab Emirates in August 2024.
