XL batteries picked up to offer long-term energy storage for data center developer in the long run

XL batteries And Prometheus HyperscaleA developer of sustainable hyperscale data centers has announced a multi -year agreement to implement long -term energy storage systems on location with data centers.

Global electricity demand from data centers is predict To rise by no less than 165% in 2030. As the reliability of the schedule is threatened by aging infrastructure and the approval of intermittent renewable energy sources increases, on-site energy storage will play a crucial role in helping data center operators such as Prometheus that is reliable 24/7 activities. In addition, data centers, in particular those with large clusters, robust and agile battery solutions require to cope with demanding calculation tax fluctuations. The non-lithium-long-term energy storage technology from XL batteries, implemented in Prometheus Data Halls, will store clean energy that safely stores and discharge the calculation tax on location.

“With our organic flow battery, Prometheus will enable Prometheus to improve the resilience of energy, manage the energy quality and reduce carbon emissions,” said Tom Sisto, CEO and co-founder of XL batteries. “Deploying our technology on one of the largest hyperscale campuses in the world validates our vision and speeds up our path to large -scale commercial impact.”

In the first phase of the partnership, XL batteries will deliver a 333-KW demonstration scale Stand-Alone organic flow battery at the Wyoming facility of Prometheus in 2027 and then Prometheus plans to buy a 12.5-MW / 125-MWH commercial system in 2028-Futytements.

Because the organic flow battery from XL is made from non-toxic, non-relevant and non-corrosive patented organic molecules, it is an ideal choice for the Data Inters of the next generation of Prometheus. The patented chemistry of XL batteries is also derived from abundant, global omnipresent raw materials and geographically diverse materials, which isolate prometheus of price increases as a result of fluctuations and geopolitics of supply chain.

This partnership underlines our dedication to groundbreaking innovative solutions that determine a new standard for sustainable infrastructure.”
