Tesla has unveiled long-awaited additions to the storage of energy storage, the Megapack 3 and Megablock-Liege designed to improve energy density, scalability and the bet speed. The new products were unveiled during the RE+ Renewable Energy Conference in Las Vegas.

Megapack 3 builds on the inheritance of Tesla’s storage products on Nuts scale and represents a considerable jump in energy density in relation to its predecessors. It delivers approximately 5 MWh storage capacity per unit, compared to 3.9 MWh in the Megapack 2XL, which started to send in 2022.

Megapack 3 Integrates Tesla’s silicon carbide -inverter and fire protection systems and contains battery cells from the US, Southeast Asia and China. An important design improvement is the simplified thermal bay, which reduces the connecting complexity by 78%.
