In Switzerland, almost every second residential PV system is installed together with a storage system for battery energy (BESS).

“In the past three years, the total number of battery storage systems has doubled almost annually,” said the industry -body Swissolar in its first storage market report, published on the member day of the organization, yesterday in Luzern.

An important reason for the popularity of home energy storage is a continuous decrease in the prices of equipment that Swissolar estimated at $ 115/kWh for 2024.
