Namibia looking for consultants for Solar at DAM – PV Magazine International

A tender in Namibia is looking for a consultancy firm to support the installation of solar energy on the site of an existing Dijkdam. The deadline to submit expressions of interest is 8 July.

Namibia Water Corp. (Namwater) is looking for consultants to support the use of tanning factories near the von Bach Dam, in the eastern region of Otjozondjupa.

De Dijkdam, built in 1968 and in 1970 by order, offers NamibiaThe capital Windhoek with a lot of its water.

The Tender details Indicate that the sun factories will be installed on the Land van Namwater and will feed the water supply between the dam and the capital.

A non-compulsory pre-BID meeting takes place on 18 June prior to a deadline to submit interest on interest on 8 July.

According to figures from the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena), the cumulative solar capacity of Namibia was 163 MW at the end of 2024.
