Meta signs up for 650 MW of new solar projects to power data centers

The AES Corporation has announced that it has entered into two long -term PPAs to support Meta data centers with 650 MW of solar projects that AES brings online in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) market.

“AES is proud to work with Meta to provide reliable and affordable renewable energy that supports their growth of data centers and ambitious sustainability goals,” said Andrés Gluski, AES President and CEO. “By offering energy solutions that offer fast time-to-strength and cheap electricity, we remain the partner for companies, such as Meta, in the preliminary in the innovation of artificial intelligence.”

In addition to supporting the goals of meta’s, these projects offer employment opportunities and economic benefits to communities in Texas and Kansas, which creates hundreds of building courses and millions contribute to long -term tax revenues to support local schools and provinces.
