Solamerica Energy celebrates the energy of a solar project on the site, behind the meter of the Solar project for the facility of the manufacturer of Glass NSG Group in Ottawa, Illinois. This 2-MWAC Tracker Project mounted on the ground offers affordable electricity under a PPA for the next 15 years. The project benefits from a Renewable Energy Credit (REC) contract under the Illinois adjustable block program, making a very competitive PPA rate possible.

“NSG has been a great partner of Solamerica Energy in realizing this project,” said Solamerica Energy CEO Tully Blalock. “The state of Illinois and the adjustable block program have indeed helped to make this initiative possible. We are enthusiastic about the prospect of offering our customers cheap electricity generated by solar energy over the next 15 years.”

In the service of the customer’s sustainability goals, the project also calls for the provision of individual Green-e-certified RECs to replace those RECs sold under the state program.

“We are proud to support Solamerica with our first tracker project together, building on a strong partnership that started in 2020. This marks a milestone as the first tracker installation of Terrasmart to be eligible for the labor and domestic content of the inflation of in -flation -reduction act -the testament of the industry of the bean’s growthtar – McKiernan. “Based on the deep sector experience, our team offered accurate survey and foundation installation with the help of ground screws to tackle the frost -sensitive circumstances of the site, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with Solamerica on innovative solar solutions.”
