TaiwanIt is planning to dismiss more than 100 of his employees when retiring older production lines.

The dismissals are expected to affect about 10% of the total employees and will be completed by the fourth quarter of this year, Ure said, adding that the relevant authorities were informed in accordance with the law.

The company has said that the statistics show that Topcon -Zonne -modules have surpassed PERC products and “jumped into the mainstream of the market.”

URE will close production lines for his Perc solar cells in his Miaoli County Factory. The company said that the facility had entered the later phases of his life cycle. It will shift the focus to his Topcon Solar Module series.

Topcon production is consolidated in the URE Tainan factory. The company is planning to continue to produce current solar modules and to introduce completely black modules from the third quarter of this year. According to local reports, URE – which also works in the energy storage sector – now wants to position itself as an extensive provider for energy solutions. The company will relate to the production of module, project development, energy storage systems, maintenance and electricity sales.
