The China Energy Storage Alliance (CNESA) has released its 2024 rankings from Chinese energy storage companies, whereby Catl, Sungrow and CRRC Zhuzhou Institute protect top positions in important segments.

The best energy storage companies in China in 2024 were appointed by the China Energy Storage Alliance (CNESA), which recently revealed its annual rankings. The rankings, based on shipping volumes and installed capacity, offer a snapshot of the developing competitive landscape in the Chinese energy storage sector and the growing global footprint.

Catl retained his dominance as the leading supplier of energy storage technology by global battery shipments, excluding backup power applications. Other top performers in this category were Eve, Hithium, BYD, Rekt Battero and Calb. CNESA defines providers for technology in the field of energy storage as companies that produce and deliver independent core technologies such as battery cells and physical storage systems.

Top 10 Chinese energy storage technology providers in the worldwide market of 2024

In the backup battery segment-rarely used for telecombasis stations and Datacenters-Ledeidde Shoto the field, followed by Narada Power, Gotion Hightech, Cosospowers and CALB. This category includes both lithium-ion and lead acid battery technologies.
