Norway-based glint Solar has added a new noise fashion function for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to the software platform of the Solar and Storage Project Developer Site Planning Software.

A spokesperson told PV -Magazine That the new software makes noise effect assessments for battery storage installations in an “early stage development”. It helps users to model “how sound of equipment will behave over a site by taking into account terrain, land absorption and barriers.”

In particular, it offers support for localized noise emission data or standard profiles, and contains data from practice, such as topography, land absorption and barrier effects, as well as relaxing simulations of the impact of mitigation measurements, such as sound walls or layout adjustments.
