HorizonView Technologies, a solar air inspection company, has announced the launch of its new software 2.0 platform, which marks the official debut of the company in the market for renewable energy consumption.

The new platform – horizonview Insight 2.0 – contains a large number of advanced functions that have been designed to set a new industrial stand for solar inspections. Main features of Software 2.0 include:

  • IR & RGB-Orthomosaics: Thermal infrared mosaics in full-site combined with visibly light images with high resolution, making comparison of heat anomalies with a real-world visual context possible.
  • Transparent “AS-BUILT” layers: Integration of AS-Built Infrastructure overlays on the images, so that errors and anomalies are determined on actual location layouts for clear root-cause analysis.
  • Improved error detection: Improved algorithms tailored to IEC 62446-3 Standards make compatible, automated identification and filtering of critical panel errors and performance problems possible.
  • Glass grief detection: Patented imaging techniques now make detection of cracked glass on modules possible, which further improves the error diagnostics and module health insights.
  • Advanced reporting tools: Direct exportable, detailed inspection reports and analyzes to streamline maintenance work flows and documentation.
  • High-Speed User interface: A lightning-fast, user-friendly online interface for navigating large sun gatettes, so that operators can quickly locate problems, prioritize and tackle in Gigawatt scale portfolios.
  • Field Tech app: a streamlined mobile app with which technicians have access to error locations, swapp panels and the system status in real-time update-from the field and ensures seamless coordination between the analysis platform and on-site repair teams.

HorizonView uses manned aircraft to record data faster and on a larger scale than traditional drone -based methods. With the help of high-quality aircraft equipped with GPS-Gesynchronized thermal and RGB image formation systems, the company scans hundreds of megawatts with solar capacity on one day-to-have extensive, georeututered coverage of expansive solar farms. This approach provides faster data care, higher image resolution and lower costs per megawatt in comparison with only drone operations, which results in a significant advantage in speed and efficiency.

With the introduction of Software 2.0, HorizonView translates this Velder experience into a robust product range-based owners of solar assets get a new level of transparency to the health of their systems, from hotspots on cell level to string disturbances, all visible on an intuitive card-based platform.

“Our mission at HorizonView is to authorize solar operators with usable intelligence that maximizes energy production and minimizes downtime,” said Jakob Laggner, founder and CEO of HorizonView Technologies. “
