Enphase Energy announced the launch of the 4e-generation Enphase Energy SystemWith the IQ battery 10c, IQ meter collar and IQ combination 6c. This system stands out for its smaller footprint, improved functions, easier installation and unparalleled reliability.

The IQ -Battery 10c is the core of the 4th-generation Enphase Energy System, which offers 10 kWh usable energy and supplies 7.08 kW continuous power, able to support heavy start-up taxes such as HVAC systems and polar pumps. The compact form factor supplies almost 34% larger energy density and can be up to 62% less wall space compared to the previous generation system. It also contains built-in neutral-forming micro-formers that enable backup functionality and reduce the amount of internal hardware compared to the last generation battery. Less equipment and a streamlined commissioning process simplifies the installation and can help access to more single-day implementations. The battery uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, which offers safety and lifespan.

Supplement the system, The IQ meter collar Simplifies the entire homebackup by offering the functionality of Microgrid Interconnection Device (MID). The IQ meter collar is neatly behind the utility meter or on a self-contained meter connection, so that the need is removed to move circuits to a backup subpaneel. It eliminates the need for additional consumption flow transformers (CTs) and supports grid insulation, which improves system reliability. The use of fewer components can make faster installations possible and reduce the required wall space. The IQ meter collar can be installed independently on a self -contained meter connection without the approval of the utility, or – in selected markets – directly behind the utility meter approval. The product is already authorized for use by several utilities in important markets, and many more approvals are expected in the coming months. View a full list of utilities that have approved the use of the IQ meter collar here.

The IQ Combiner 6C Furthermore, streamlining the installation by consolidating interconnection equipment in one housing, with integrated breaker rooms for solar, battery, EV charging and tax scheme, along with pre-installed CTs for solar and battery measurement. Together these components reduce the wall space, complexity and installation time, which supplies a more efficient and reliable energy solution.

“The 4th-generation Enphase Energy System has a streamlined design that can make the installations faster and make systems for homeowners more effective,” said Raul Vergara, owner of Cutler Bay Solar Solutions, an installer of the Platina level of Enphase Products in Florida. “We are very enthusiastic about the new functions in this system and cannot wait to see the benefits they will offer our customers.”

Enphase Energy expects to send the IQ battery 10c in the third quarter of 2025 with the domestic content of American contract factories. The products are identified by a “stupid” suffix in the SKU and can help to qualify for solar and storage projects for the current domestic content bonus credit, which stimulates solar and battery projects with the use of components produced by the US. In combination with selected American IQ8-Micro-Omwers and Racking Equipment, Enphase Systems can meet the suitability requirements for the bonus credit.

The 4th-generation Enphase Energy System, including the IQ Battery 10C, IQ Meter Collar and IQ Combiner 6C, is now supported by a 15-year-old Enphase Limited Guarantee. The shipments for the 4th generation system started last month and orders can be placed via Enphase Distribution Partners.
