Sumitomo Electric Industries has installed a Vanadium Redox -Flow battery on Osaka Metropolitan University as part of a test to optimize solar use and energy storage with AI. The project combines the battery with the cloud -based control platform of Kansai Electric Power.

Sumitomo Electric Industries has supplied a Redox Flow Battery System to the new Innovation Academy Smart Energy Building from Osaka Metropolitan University, to support a joint demonstration project aimed at optimizing renewable energy consumption with artificial intelligence.

The project integrates the Sumitomo power battery with the cloud -based Senason Energy Control Platform of Kansai Electric Power. The system will be used to study the AI-assisted management of the demand for electricity, the generation of solar generation and battery storage optimization.

The demonstration is part of a program supported by the government to support cooperation between universities, industry and public institutions.
