A new study is investigating the season optimization of PV module tilt corners to optimize the energy efficiency of PV plants in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The results show that dynamic tilt adjustments can considerably increase the annual solar yield over different climate zones.

A study Researchers from Rajasthan Technical University Kota reveal that the dynamic adjustment of the tilt angle of solar panels seasonal can significantly stimulate the energy -output of solar PV systems in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

With the help of simulations-based simulations, the researchers analyzed data from four cities of Kota, Barmer, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer-to find the optimum tilting angles for every month of the year.

Jodhpur and Jaisalmer cities show a desert climate, while Kota and Barmer are categorized as semi-arid climate zones. These cities were selected in this study to find the variations of solar radiation due to their different climatic conditions.

Traditionally, installations with fixed restrictions set up roughly the same as the latitude of the site for maximizing the annual solar radiation for the PV panels. However, the MatLab-based optimization algorithm showed that the use of a fixed tilt angle (latitude (latitude) for solar panels does not effectively record seasonal variations of solar height, especially during extreme months such as summer (May juli) and winter (December Januari).

The study showed that the dynamic adjustment of the tilting angle season – steeper in the winter season (58 ° – 60 °) and flatter in the summer months of May and July – leads to 8.89% – 9.02% higher radiation.

“The results reveal a clear seasonal trend, with optimum tilt corners higher in the winter season (58 ° – 60 °) and gradually decreasing to 0 ° during the summer season (May to July), as a result of the changing solar height,” the scientists said. “” By using optimum tilting angles, the values of Zonnestraal can be improved by around 8% – 9% at all Rajasthan locations of following solar systems to achieve the maximum solar exit power. “

The analysis indicated that fixed tilt systems are less optimal as the latitude increases, which suggests that a larger potential benefits of follow -up systems in northern locations.

Among the four cities that were analyzed under the study, Jodhpur showed the highest average sunbeam in the summer season (301.5 W/M2), while Kota City experienced the lowest values during the monsoon season (229.4 W/m2). Jaisalmer had the highest average value of the sunbeam (289.2 W/M2) Every year, making it the most promising location for solar installations.

The analysis suggests that Jaisalmer would be the most suitable location for solar installations, especially with systems that can implement optimum tilting angles. The data also indicates that installation planning must consider seasonal variations, with contingency plans for reduced output during monsoon seasons.

Summer months consistently show the highest irradiation at all four locations of Rajasthan. A monsoon season shows the lowest irradiation values due to cloudy weather, and the performance of the winter season is better than post-monsoon at most locations.

The best months for peak performance are between February and May due to the highest irradiation value and the lowest temperature of the PV module at the end of the winter and the start of the summer season.
