Goodleap Partners with Connecticut Green Bank to develop VPPs throughout the state

The Connecticut Green Bank And Goods have announced a strategic partnership to develop and exploit virtual power plants (VPPs) in Connecticut. This collaboration effort, made possible through that of the State Program for energy storage solutions programwill focus on the use of residential solar systems and storage of battery energy to lower energy costs, improve the resilience of the network and to promote the clean energy goals of Connecticut.

Enabled by Goodleap’s ai-Powered proprietary software, Goodgrid, and Integrated with the utility’s Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (Derms), The VPPS Can Aggregate Thousands of Residential Solar and Storage Systems, Suspijdated Networks Reduction, Helping Reduce Strain on the Electrical Grid, Potentialy Deferring Distribution Infrastructure Investments for Utilities and Will Better Position Connecticut to meet the goals of the implementation of clean energy. This can help to reduce the costs for all homeowners, because more expensive energy sources can be avoided during these peaks and increase access to distributed energy sources.

“Together with GoodLeaP we work that residents of Connecticut – especially those in vulnerable communities – benefit from clean, resilient and affordable energy solutions,” said Bryan Garcia, president and CEO of the Connecticut Green Bank. “We saw GoodLeap Leiden on VPPs in other states throughout the country and found that their technology, products and services were needed in Connecticut to help our families realize the benefits of these distributed energy sources. This initiative will result in new resources for homeowners and Ratepayers while supporting the climate and energy goals of our state.”

Eligible homeowners from Connecticut receive monthly cash relaxes via the Goodgrid Cash Rewards, which increases the goals of the Energy Storage Solutions program. De Green Bank will also support the partnership through technical assistance to streamline project development and interconnection, as well as stakeholders and community involvement in order to increase consciousness and participation and at the same time guarantee fair access.

Through this agreement, Connecticut Green Bank and GoodLeaP will collaborate in continuous cooperation in the field of performance tricks, grid integration and community institutional report.
