Enviromena has taken over the LongPasture Solar Farm, a 49.9 MW, fully set Zonne -PV energy plant in County Durham by Bluefield Solar and Lightrock Power.

The project is expected to be completed at the end of 2027 and received a 15-year contract for difference (CFD) in September 2024 under the allocation of 6 (AR6).

The planning agreement, which was secured for the project in August 2023, will see the development of 163 hectares cover in County Durham and also includes the option to add a 39.7 MW Co location battery energy storage system (BESS). As part of the development, a £ 100,000 community Benefit Fund will be established, as well as on-site biodiversity improvements.

This is the third acquisition and Enviromena is successfully closed this summer, after he has also recorded two ready-made projects in Shropshire in Shropshire in recent weeks. In July, the IPP Bought the 30 MW Steeraway Solar PV Power Plant Of the Luxembourg, developer re-infrastructure options that have S.à.RL earlier this month, the developer has the 40 MW Rock Farm Solar PV factory of Anglo Renewables. Both projects also received 15-year CFDs in last year’s AR6 auction, and both focus on a schedule connection date from 2026.

Chris Marsh, CEO of Enviromena, said that this latest acquisition “our summer momentum is keeping firmly on the right track”, adding that the project “Square fits our strategy to build, manage and exploit high-quality Zonne-Zonne-Zonne-Zon in the United Kingdom”.

The fellow bridge Solar Farm is located in Essex and is a 71 MWP solar energy plant and the subject of what Enviromena States is the largest Solar Corporate Power Agreement (CPPA) in the UK with an educational institution. From 1 September the site will provide the University of Manchester Fine electricity under a 10-year CPPA, which is expected to meet around 65% of the total electricity demand of the university. The university buys 80% of the electricity generated by the fellow bridge Solar PV energy plant in the course of the agreement, which was structured and managed by EDF.

Gary Hales, COO at Enviromena, called the energy of fellow bridge “a huge achievement by everyone at Enviromena”, adding that it “shows how we can use clean energy infrastructure, while the new benchmarks set up for operational excellence in the renewable sector.”
