Silicon Ranch ends the first project in 10.5 MW Solar Port Folio for the manufacturer of Tennessee

A manufacturer of the Tennessee Automotive component has turned the switch with a 1.5 MW solar project developed by Silicon Ranch.

Project partners Silicon Ranch, De Tennessee Valley Authority and the city of Maryville Braakte Treeds on the solar farm for manufacturer Closed In November 2022 and construction ended this summer.

This is only the first of three solar projects of a total of 10.5 MW that the group is planning to bring online to Blount County, Tennessee. Silicon Ranch projects the second facility to be online by December 2025 and expects the third to be online in the second quarter of 2026.

In addition to his role in the three solar projects in Blount County, Denso will also buy solar energy on the solar energy from a fourth Silicon Ranch facility elsewhere in the Tennessee Valley via the Green Invest program of TVA. The TVA program offers business and industry a timely and cost-effective solution to achieve their sustainability goals. When all facilities are completed, Denso each, together with other conservation initiatives, will use to involve all electrical needs of DMTN from renewable energy sources.

“This activity shows how we not only strive to be green through our products, but also through our activities and energy consumption,” said Chuntao Ye, President of DMTN and manager of the Peak of Mind Business Group of the Denso Noord -Amerika.
