Weather technology company Climavision will bring accurate weather data to the Enverus platform that energy and commodities traders use every day. Enveruswhich provides critical commodity data and analytics for traders, will integrate Climavision’s Horizon AI Point model into its MarketView platform, providing traders with acute insights into local weather conditions impacting production and demand. Weather data at this level of granularity was previously inaccessible to the larger U.S. trading community. These new services are effective immediately.

Weather is one of the most important drivers of the energy, fuel, agricultural and commodity markets. Previously, energy traders only had access to outdated government weather data, which often lacks the resolution, localization and timeliness needed to confidently make high-stakes decisions. Climavision, which works with energy companies and utilities across the country, uses artificial intelligence to combine and process observations from satellites, radars and weather stations around the world. The Horizon AI Point model then uses these millions of data points to create real-time, continuously generated weather forecasts, providing visibility that cannot be achieved with publicly available data alone. These forecasts will reduce the risk associated with trading by allowing Enverus users to make predictions on prices and investments based on upcoming weather events that will impact the market and shifts in demand.

With access to the Horizon AI Point model, MarketView traders can also:

  • Zoom in on hyper-local weather: From power plants, pipelines and solar farms to farm fields and airports, traders now have access to on-the-ground conditions at key locations in the United States or globally.
  • Create forecasts for up to 15 days: In addition to traditional hourly and daily forecasts, users can now monitor weather events over a two-week period, generating competitive long-term insights that are not accessible to other traders.
  • Predict all weather conditions, all year round: In addition to traditional temperature and precipitation forecasts, traders can also create energy forecasts that track solar radiation, visibility, cloud cover and wind speeds.
  • Develop sector-specific insights: Specialty sectors such as aviation, agriculture and renewable energy have unique challenges and opportunities for traders. The Horizon AI Point model also allows users to customize their weather data so they can quickly and easily see how it will impact these additional areas.

“Horizon AI Point adds a new dimension of weather visibility to the MarketView platform. Traders now have access to hyper-local, constantly updated forecasts that translate atmospheric conditions directly into market insight. Together, we are raising the bar for how weather data impacts pricing, risk management and strategic decision-making,” said Chris Goode, CEO and co-founder of Climavision.

Additionally, the MarketView platform will now display weather data right next to prices and industry trends, eliminating the need for users to switch between multiple pages and websites to compare forecasts. This visual convenience significantly reduces the time needed to understand the impact and future movements of major weather patterns.

“Our partnership with Climavision brings hyper-local, AI-enhanced weather forecasting to customers in aviation, renewables, power and gas, and agriculture; industries where accurate weather data drives critical decisions,” said Matt Wilcoxson, EVP Strategic Development at Enverus Trading and Risk. “By integrating Horizon AI Point forecasts into our MarketView Sphere platform, users gain real-time insight into weather-dependent market risks and opportunities, enabling smarter trading, optimized shipment planning and proactive delivery strategies.”
