EG4 electronics joins Jump to enable the adoption of EG4 products in Virtual Power Plant (VPP) programs.

Through this collaboration, EG4 inverters and batteries integrated with the Leap platform will enable customers to access home backup with network interactive capabilities, automated participation in utility programs and wholesale network services, and monetization of battery storage and flexible charging assets.

“Our mission at EG4 is to make reliable backup accessible to the whole home while delivering long-term value,” said James Showalter, CEO of EG4 Electronics. “By working with Leap, EG4 systems can go further, supporting network reliability and enabling customers to participate in energy markets without sacrificing simplicity or performance.”

Leap offers a white-label VPP solution delivered under the EG4 brand, which automates enrollment, shipping, market bidding and performance optimization.

“With a strong hardware ecosystem and a growing installed base, EG4 is well positioned to scale participation in the energy markets through the Leap platform,” said Corey Bentine, Director of Business Development at Leap. “Together we are removing the barriers to grid participation and making it easier for residential and commercial energy assets to deliver real, measurable value at scale.”

EG4 energy storage systems integrated with the Leap platform enable grid-tied operation that supports both backup power and participation in grid services.

“Reliable backup is the start of the conversation, but community resilience is the goal,” said Clinton O’Neill, VPP & DER Development Manager of EG4 Electronics. “By working with Leap, we turn individual home systems into a synchronized network that generates value and stability for the entire community, while keeping the homeowner experience seamless and powerful.”

Selected programs and installations will be highlighted through co-branded case studies that demonstrate system performance and grid impact under real-world conditions. Software integration between EG4 and Leap is currently underway and is scheduled for completion in March 2026. Additional program details will be announced once integration milestones are achieved.
