Switzerland-based Energy Vault has partnered with US-based Peak Energy to co-develop an AI infrastructure-dedicated, full-stack energy storage platform based on sodium-ion battery technology.
Join us on April 22 for the 3rd SunRise Arabia Clean Energy Conference in Riyadh.
The event will spotlight how solar and energy storage solutions are powering sustainable and reliable infrastructure, with a particular focus on powering the country’s fast-growing data center sector.
The companies will develop the platform by connecting Peak Energy’s sodium-ion batteries with Energy Vault’s system design and Vault OS™ software. All systems will be fully integrated into Vault OS™, which will manage battery performance, optimize dispatch, extend asset life and maintain operational control of Energy Vault.
Traditional battery systems are designed for constant grid loads and are not well suited to the extreme and volatile power requirements of AI training and inference. The new partnership aims to develop a dedicated energy storage architecture tailored to AI Neoclouds – cloud platforms specifically optimized for AI workloads – and AI-first data center operators.
