Single-phase inverter products manufactured in Texas are now being shipped to multiple European markets as SolarEdge adjusts its international export strategy. The manufacturer tells pv magazine Key components will increasingly be manufactured in the United States in the coming years.
US-made SolarEdge inverters are now shipping to the United Kingdom as the manufacturer expands the number of European markets served by factories in the United States.
SolarEdge’s single-phase residential inverters, manufactured at its Austin, Texas facility, are now shipping to the United Kingdom, Italy, France and the Netherlands. According to SolarEdge, shipments of commercial and industrial (C&I) products from SolarEdge’s Florida facility will begin soon.
Christian Carraro, vice president of Europe strategic accounts and programs, and general manager for Southern Europe at SolarEdge, said pv magazine the company’s production strategy is “clearly” moving towards the United States.
“From my manufacturing perspective, the plan is that between now and two years, all of our production of key components will be in the U.S.,” Carraro said.
US-made SolarEdge inverters for Britain feature the company’s recently launched MultiRange concept, which consolidates different power classes into a single inverter unit and part number. Carraro said that for the residential segment, MultiRange will consist of two inverters: a single-phase option and a three-phase option.
Carraro also confirmed that SolarEdge will also produce its Nexus three-phase residential hybrid inverter in the United States for export to Europe. SolarEdge first unveiled its stackable all-in-one residential inverter and clickable modular battery system in fall 2025.
The company is also ramping up production of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the United States, according to Carraro, who said a third of the lines for production sites in the United States will be for batteries, although these are expected to serve the domestic market.
In a press release, Pascal de Boer, SolarEdge’s general manager for Europe, said the shipment of US-made inverters to the United Kingdom “reflects our commitment to delivering US-made excellence to customers around the world.”
“This solution combines power, intelligence and simplicity. By offering technology that simplifies operations, we help installers and distributors reduce complexity while increasing flexibility, especially important in the rapidly evolving solar markets. This is an important step forward in accelerating business growth in Europe,” said de Boer.
The SolarEdge MultiRange residential inverter comes with backup functionality and the SolarEdge ONE energy management system (EMS) for energy storage support. It also supports EV charging integration and comes with smart energy features including network service support capabilities.
