Global renewable infrastructure operator Schroders Greencoat has selected Ireland-based asset manager EnergyPro as the technical asset manager for its portfolio of 27 solar PV projects in the UK.

The operating portfolio includes locations in Dorset, Somerset, Norfolk and Oxfordshire, the companies said, but did not specify which of them Schroder’s assets the agreement includes.

EnergyPro manages the assets as an extension of an existing partnership with Schroders Greencoat, and already offers its services to Irish wind energy in Schroders’ portfolio.

It is a significant expansion of EnergyPro’s asset management portfolio, which previously managed just three assets in England.

Statkraft acquires FID for two British projects

Norwegian independent power producer (IPP) Statkraft made the final investment decision in two solar PV plants with a combined capacity of 131 MWp in the second quarter of this year.

The two solar PV projects are the 58 MWp Kilcush solar PV plant in Ireland and the 73 MWp Stargoose project in eastern England, a project for which the company building permit obtained in 2022.

In April, Statkraft announced that construction work would begin on the Kilcush project.

These two projects are part of the more than 600 MW of new renewable energy capacity on which the IPP has made investment decisions by the end of the first half of this year.

“Statkraft has delivered strong results in the second quarter of 2026. Strategic divestitures have now been completed and planned cost savings are on track. Over the past year, we have translated our ambitions into results. We have strengthened our core and reduced complexity and costs to improve competitiveness,” said Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal, president and CEO of Statkraft.
