Solar architectural firm Lumos Solar has issued a recall on a limited run of its Vision solar panel series. The Colorado-based company has previously contracted a California OEM to make its proprietary bifacial solar panels often used in solar awnings, canopies, pergolas and façades.

A letter to customers states that incorrect bypass diode wiring was found in a limited production run from 2022, and Lumos Solar is recalling Vision Modules on an abundance of caution. The company is currently producing replacement modules and expects to deliver the new modules in July.

Photos of defective modules were included in the recall letter. The affected Vision Modules have one busbar ribbon entering the junction box, whereas correct modules should have two.
