Midsummer, a wholesale distributor of renewable energy systems, has partnered with InstaGroup to enable the company to launch its first fully connected solar PV system, InstaGen.

In addition to panels, battery storage and inverters, InstaGen offers a user-friendly app. Consumers can use the technology to monitor their InstaGen system and energy consumption. InstaGroup has been in the energy efficiency industry for almost 45 years, supplying materials to SME installers and having access to financing such as the Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) and Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF).

Midsummer offers delivery and design support through its Easy PV software. Easy PV was developed to help solar installers with project design, solar installation optimization and purchasing a complete package in one step.

Tom Livesy, Buying Director at Midsummer, commented: “We are delighted to announce our new partnership with InstaGroup to distribute their range of InstaGen products.

“Instagroup values customer relationships and prioritizes customer service, something that closely aligns with our values at Midsummer. Combining Midsummer’s expertise in full system design, warehousing and rural logistics with InstaGroup’s knowledge and resources in ECO4 and schemes marks the start of an exciting journey together.”

Paul Griffiths, solar manager at InstaGroup, added: “During the feed-in tariff peak around 2012, the supply of InstaGen panels enabled us to support our extensive network of customers and overcome the barriers posed by they encounter within the sustainable energy sector.

“The complexity of integrating products from different manufacturers can often lead to complications. That’s why we developed a fully connected system, along with a consumer app that provides technical support and product monitoring.
