K2 Systems is moving production for two of its solar attachments, including a new solar installation, to the United States to meet domestic content requirements under the Inflation Reduction Act.

The MiniRail Comp system from K2 Systems

The first product is the CrossRail systema rail-based rack designed for use on a variety of roof types, including composite shingles, tiles and metal, and comes pre-assembled with universal connecting clamps.

The second is the MiniRail Comp system, a new solar shelving solution specifically designed for composite shingles. MiniRail is a 5-inch solar mounting with a partial rail that installs over the shingle, also on roof decking, with four self-tapping screws and built-in flashing. It can be mounted at various points along the module frame and works with both portrait and landscape panel orientations.

“K2 Systems remains committed to expanding its product line to support the solar industry’s transition to increased domestic production. Our goal is to maximize customer eligibility for tax credits and incentives while promoting U.S. manufacturing growth. Please rest assured that more K2 Systems products will be transitioned to U.S. manufacturing to meet these standards,” the company said in a press release.
