By merging the services, Nextracker hopes to provide solar EPCs and developers with more choices for foundations designed to perform in different ground conditions. Ojjo foundations can be installed without the need for pre-drilling of soil and potentially reduce the underground risks of solar installations.

“We are pleased to welcome Ojjo to Nextracker,” said Dan Shugar, Founder and CEO of Nextracker. “Our customers value proven integrated solutions to improve project design, simplify procurement and reduce risk for their projects. This collaboration builds on our successful product collaboration with Ojjo. Their team brings geotechnical products and expertise in foundation systems particularly suited to rocky sites, with operating system intellectual property broadly applicable to a range of equipment. This acquisition expands our successful global tracker foundation business with differentiated, next-generation technology.”

Ojjo technology and foundation solutions will be offered with Nextracker’s NX Horizon solar tracker systems and software solutions, and will also remain available to customers for use with other compatible solar trackers.

“I am proud of what the Ojjo team has created. Nextracker is by far the best partner to bring this technology to its full potential in the utility market,” said Mike Miskovsky, outgoing CEO of Ojjo, who will provide transition support to Nextracker into the next fiscal quarter.

With this acquisition, Nextracker now owns more than 600 patents (issued and pending). The transaction closed today and is not expected to be material to the results for the 2025 financial year.
