ACME Solar secures PPA with NHPC for 680 MW Renewables – Storage project – PV Magazine International

The Acme Solar from India has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Ltd. In state ownership for a storage project of 680 MW Renewables.

Acme Solar Holdings has signed a PPA with state -owned companies NHPC for a 680 MW company and shipping Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in India. It secure the project via the tender of NHPC for 1,400 MW FDRE of Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) Renewable energy projects with energy storage systems (ESS) throughout India.

Acme Solar will develop the project in several states, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan.

“This innovative project combines advanced technology with hybrid solutions for renewable energy to improve efficiency and sustainability. The PPA with NHPC reinforces the dedication of ACME Solar to the goals of India’s clean energy consumption by integrating the solar, wind and battery storage, seting a new benchmark for hybrid energy systems and contributes to a greener future, “explained Acme Solar. “With a minimal annual capacity use factor (CUF) of 40% and a requirement to pay 90% of the promised value during peak hours, the project will significantly contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions (BKG).”

Acme Solar Holdings has a diversified renewable electricity folio that spans solar, wind, hybrid and FDRe projects. The operational capacity is 2,540 MW, with an extra 4,430 MW under construction.
