Aiko says that the 480 W Neostar 2P sun panels, with 24.3% efficiency, are the best-efficient PV modules on the roof in Australia. The Chinese manufacturer credits his N-type All-back contact (ABC) cell technology for stimulating the ability to increase the panel size.

The Chinese solar cell and modulemaker Aiko said that his 480 W Neostar 2P sun panels depend on its N-type ABC cell technology to deliver a higher power without increasing the panel size.

Thomas Bywater, Land Director of Aiko Australia and New Zealand, said that the next generation module is going on the success of being Existing 470 W and 475 W Panels In the 54 cell category, with only small changes in the key structure and components at panel level.

“In essence, we have been able to lift around 30 W on the existing production line in the last 12 months, from 450 W to 480 W by adjusting the time of certain processes, the types of pasta and materials for making Cells, and tailor -made selection of the underlying silicon, “he said. “We initially thought it would be necessary to launch our third generation panels to get 480 W, but we were able to do with the existing technology that is currently on the shelf.”

Although the energy yield has been improved, Aiko said that the 480 W Neostar 2P panels retain the compact, lightweight design of earlier models, so that they meet the practical requirements of Australian solar installers.

The fully black product measures 1,757 mm x 1.134 mm x 30 mm and weighs 21.5 kg. They are built with 3.2 mm tempered anti-reflecting glass and black anodized aluminum frames and have an IP68 housing. The panels have a temperature coefficient of -0.26% per degree Celsius, an operational temperature ranging from -40 C to 85 ° C and a maximum system voltage is 1500 V.

AIKO offers a 30-year performance guarantee, with an alleged relegation of 1% in the first year and a guaranteed end capacity of no less than 88.85% of the nominal capacity after 30 years.

Bywater said that the Neostar 480 W has set a new benchmark in residential solar Zonne energy in Australia, but added that there could be further improvements in the store.

“We think it is even possible to get a 54-cell production module up to 485 W on current architecture,” he said. “This gives us some hope that when the third generation comes, we can quickly go above the predicted 485 W.”

Aiko said that the first shipments of the Neostar 2p 480 W panel are already on their way to Australia with shares that are expected to be available in March.
