Anker Solix is taking a brand new approach to home battery storage in the US with the launch of its E10 range, moving from an installer-only model or installer partnerships, as most companies, including Tesla, are choosing, and moving to a direct model, and what the press release says is a “hassle-free, one-stop installation service”.

The E10 is called a ‘smart hybrid’ product because it can charge via solar energy, the grid or via a generator, the latter of which has a unique twist. Anker also offers a smart gas generator, which enables DC charging for the E10 batteries, essentially offering a wider mode of operation, adding a significant safety margin and providing more efficient operation when using fossil fuels. The generator can process gas, propane (LPG) and natural gas as fuel.

Anker calls this “infinite backup power” due to the multi-fuel range extension, and considering typical US outage, duration and conditions, it can handle 99% of outage scenarios.
