Solar PV developer Aura Power has announced that it has completed the final phase of the process to guarantee the building permit for the Moreton Brook Solar Farm.
The 49.9 MW Solar PV energy plant, planned in East Staffordshire, Had previously received a building permit from East Staffordshire Borough Council In March 2025, under the signing of a legal agreement. Since then, the developer states that it “works proactively” with the council to guarantee the necessary section 106 agreement. Now this agreement has been sealed, so that the planning state process for development is formally concluded.
The construction will start on the site in the early spring of 2027, and Aura Power focuses on a schedule connection date of September 2027. The site will also have significant improvements for biodiversity, including by planting Soornrijk Grasland and Wildbloemwagen, Indigenous tree planting and Haag improvements, and by creating agricultural landvogels. This will yield a net profit of biodiversity on the site of more than 100%. A community Benefit Fund that will be set £ 20,000 worth £ 20,000 worth £ 20,000 every year and will be implemented during the life of the project.

Aura Power currently has nearly 600 MWp of ready-made projects in its Solar Port Folio. These include the 49.9 MW Kemble Solar PV Energy Center, which is currently under construction and will be completed later this year, as well as the Burtree Lane and Grimsby Solar PV power plants, both of which have a capacity of 49.9 MW and are expected to close the construction in 2026.
Aura Power has closed several major financial deals in recent months to continue its upward growth process. In February of this year, the developer announced that it had done that secure a £ 33.1 million financial package from Rabobank To develop the aforementioned Burtree Lane Solar PV Power Plant, located in Darlington, County Durham.
