Fraunhofer ISE researchers investigate the impact of trackers with one axis on the energy yield and agricultural losses in Agrivoltaics that their use has created an optimal balance between available light for photosynthesis and light that is available for electricity production. March 18, 2025 Patrick Jowett A team of the Fraunhofer Institut Für Solare Energy System ISE (Fraunhofer Isee) has conducted research into follow -up strategies that balance the light distribution between crops and solar panels in agrivoltaic installations. The research paper, “Improving Agrivoltaic Synergies by optimized tracking strategiesAvailable in the Journal of Photonics for Energy, Recognizes that horizontal single…
A total of PLN 4 billion ($ 1 billion) will be distributed at the end of 2025 under the subsidy scheme in an attempt to bring more than 5 GWh of energy storage projects online by 2028. March 18, 2025 Mariha Maisch By ESS News After a public consultation launched in July 2024, the Polish Ministry of Climate and the Environment completed its energy storage subsidy program that aims to support the use of more than 5 GWh in energy storage in the country. The new regulation was published on March 7 in the Journal of Laws of the Republic…
Artificial photosynthesis breakthrough replicates early planting processes The use of sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into sugars and oxygen is a remarkable performance of nature, achieved by the complicated process of photosynthesis. This natural mechanism enables plants to distract energy from sunlight, so that a series of reactions are fueled that support life on earth. Replication of photosynthesis in a laboratory environment promises considerable benefits. Artificial use of solar energy can enable the conversion of atmospheric carbon dioxide to carbohydrates and other valuable connections. In addition, because the splitting of water is part of photosynthesis, this approach offers…

By SB staff March 17, 2025 Peter Greenberg, owner of Energywise Services In Oregon, has been in the solar industry since 2010. A former firefighter has struggled Greenberg with the unreliability of electronics at module level. This is why he chose to pursue an UL 3741-compliant system for the HUB City Village community center-a small home community for the restless or housing tables in Albany, Oregon. That system: Pegasus Solar Racking, Midnite Solar’s 12a string-level fast closing device and Solis 11.4 kW S6 Hybrid inverter. The system also has 30 410W et sun modules. “The convenience when installing only 1…
