The American manufacturer Bila Solar in the US collaborated with Origami Solar to produce modules made with steel frames made by the US. The solar modules also contain solar cells made by the US, said Bila Solar.

The American produced steel frames from origami Solar are now available as an option for the 550 W Dual-Glass module series from Bila Solar. The combination gives customers a higher domestic content, which improves the suitability for tax credit stimuli and import restrictions.

“By integrating the innovative and remarkably stronger steel frames of origami and combining them with solar cells produced by the US, we not only offer a stronger, more reliable module, but also offer customers increased domestic content to facilitate access to the 10% domestic content bonusadder,” said Mick Mcdaniel.

Bila Solar said that the new steel-omeling modules have been designed to help developers the weather market volatility in the aftermath of rising input prices, which it said that it rose by 0.4% in July alone.

Bila Solar, located in Singapore, started production in the new Indianapolis facility, which adds the operational capacity of American production.

In February, ES Foundry, a manufacturer of crystalline bifacial liabilities -sized emitter and rear contact (perc), announced solar cells, that it has concluded a multi -year agreement to deliver 300 MW solar cells To Bila Solar.

The new origami steel product is a 550 W double glass steel frame module is a 144 half-cut bifacial monocrystalline perc module. It has an efficiency of 21.3% and a rear side reinforcement of 5%.

It is a large format solar module certified to withstand snow loads to 5400 PA and extreme wind up to 2400 PA. The module meets UL 61730 and UL 61215 tests and is supplied with a 12-year product materials and craftsmanship warranty and a 30-year-old linear power performance Warranty Covered annual relegation of less than 0.45% per year after year one. Each panel weighs 77 pounds and measures 89.69 inches at 44.65 inches at 1.38 inches

The new Steel-Framed 550 W-module series will be exhibited at the upcoming RE+ Trade Show in Las Vegas from 9 to 12 September. Participants can view the module in the Bila Solar Booth in the Caesars Forum-F16045 (only by appointment) and the Origami Solar Booth Venetian Level 2-V14131-V14131
