Bridge Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of Bridge Investment Group Holdings, and WATTMORE, a software and service provider for energy storage energy management systems, announced that they have signed an agreement with Nebraska company Lincoln Electric System to develop and construct a 3 MW /12 MWh energy storage project that will strengthen the local electric grid, support an existing community microgrid and help Lincoln Electric System develop knowledge and hands-on experience in battery storage.

“As we look for new ways to deliver reliable, affordable clean energy to our customers, we are pleased to collaborate with Bridge and WATTMORE on an advanced energy storage system that opens the door to understanding the important role such energy storage systems play. to play. assets will play a role in the future of the electric grid,” said Emeka Anyanwu, CEO of Lincoln Electric System.

The energy storage system, located near an electrical substation in Lincoln, Nebraska, will support the reliability of the local transmission and distribution grid, while also supporting the LES community microgrid, which provides network services and resiliency in the event of a downtown outage. area.

In addition to co-developing the project, WATTMORE will deploy its proprietary Intellect Operate EMS and battery control and monitoring software, which use machine learning and analytics to direct power from the batteries, monitor charging and discharging, and monitor battery health and performance to monitor. The platform monitors battery health at the string level and creates a battery dispatch schedule to maximize grid support, cost savings and operator revenue.

Eos will provide 12 MWh of energy storage using third-generation Eos Znyth technology, powered by zinc aqueous batteries. These systems are made entirely in the USA and are designed for long-term, non-flammable energy storage.
