This portfolio of projects follows the successful commissioning of the 5-MW Troy project, which Castillo Engineering and NSE together are completed from the first design to the latest connections.
“New York continues to be at the forefront of community solar, and we are proud to contribute to that growth with Northern Sun Energy and Seaboard Solar,” said Christopher Castillo, CEO of Castillo Engineering. “These projects required innovative engineering solutions to balance technical limitations and cost -effectiveness, and our team worked closely with NSE to optimize designs without sacrificing efficiency.”
Each of these new projects offers unique technical challenges. Wilton and East Greenbush have an uneven site and require a carefully planned balance of system approach to manage the distance between arrays and interconnection points. In addition, strict dripping drop requirements meant that Castillo Engineering had to find cost -effective design solutions, so that compliance was guaranteed without unnecessary increasing project costs.
“We are pleased to continue working with Castillo Engineering on these latest projects,” said Chris Balogh, managing partner at NSE. “Their expertise in optimizing system design has been invaluable to keep our projects efficient and cost -effective and at the same time ensure seamless implementation.”
While New York continues to expand its community team program, these projects will offer affordable, locally generated clean energy to residents and companies. Castillo Engineering, Northern Sun Energy and combined efforts of Solar Solar will ensure cost-effective, high-quality solar installations that benefit both developers and communities.
“This collaboration between Northern Sun Energy, Castillo Engineering and Seaboard Solar is proof of the trust and expertise built in our teams,” said Shawn Brazo, president of Seaboard Solar. “These projects will deliver reliable, clean electricity to local communities and at the same time support economic growth by creating jobs and increased energy independence.”
