Chinese PV industry Letter: Renshine Solar works on the new Perovskite factory

Renshine Solar says it is building a Gigawatt scale Perovskite PV Module Factory in the province of Jiangsu, with a planned investment of CNY 1.25 billion ($ 172.4 million). The Perovskiet -Sun Panels achieved a power conversion -efficiency of 18.4% in January 2024.

Renshine Solar has started building a gigawatt scale perovskite Solar module production line in Changshu, the province of Jiangsu, for CNY 1.25 billion. The facility covers 80,000 square meters and houses the new headquarters of the company, a global technology innovation center and a large-scale production line for perovskiet module. The factory is expected to be operational at the beginning of 2026 and produce perovskiet modules for solar farms and distributed PV systems mounted on the ground. In January 2024, the company started a production line of 150 MW Perovskite module and said that the commercial modules have achieved 18.4% power conversion -efficiency.

JA SOLAR Said it is planning to publish foreign shares (H-Shares) and to request a list in the main council of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The company said that the proceeds from the initial public offer will support its worldwide expansion strategy, including increasing the production capacity of abroad, expanding its international marketing network, investing in global R&D and technological upgrades and promoting digitization and intelligent production.

GCL technology has immediately appointed his founder, Zhu Gongshan, as CEO. Former CEO Zhu Zhanjun will resign as Co-CEO, but will remain executive director and vice-chairman of the board of directors, aimed at financing and government relationships.

China Three Gorges Corp. has unveiled the winners of his centralized purchasing 2024 for PV modules (second batch). The tender covers N-type tunneloxide-passivated contact (topcon) modules with outputs of 580 WP and higher, with a total estimated purchasing capacity of approximately 2.5 GWP. Risen Energy, Tongwei Solar (Hefei) and Astronergy received the contracts. The Framework Agreement makes specific purchasing contracts possible with one or more of the winning companies for individual projects if necessary.
