Clean Slate Solar completes two community solar projects in Maryland

Clean slate solar energy has successfully brought two new community solar projects online in Landover, Maryland, delivering locally generated clean energy to residents while expanding access to meaningful electricity savings for low- and moderate-income (LMI) households.

3101 Penny

The two projects have a total capacity of 1.7 MW: 1,297 kW at the 3101 Pennsy project and 435 kW at the 3333 Pennsy site.

Together, the projects on existing commercial rooftops will serve hundreds of community solar subscribers, with at least 51% of capacity dedicated to income-qualified households. Subscribers are expected to receive guaranteed savings on their electricity bills, with no upfront fees, credit checks or long-term commitments.

“These projects reflect exactly why we started Clean Slate Solar,” said Sho Arora, Managing Partner at Clean Slate Solar. “Too often, the benefits of clean energy miss the communities that need them most.”

“These systems demonstrate that community solar can be a powerful tool to address rising electricity prices,” said Patrick McNamara, Managing Partner at Clean Slate Solar. “For many families, the monthly savings these projects deliver can make a real difference.”
