Western Australian Solar Glass Company Clearvue technologies Says that a Hong Kong government test has confirmed that the integrated solar façade can yield a payback time of only 2.6 years when feed-in rates are applied, so that the result is labeled an important milestone for buildings-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV).

“The results are excellent, which shows that our Solar blazing and the fully integrated solar façade can deliver considerable energy savings and generate electricity, immediately meet the twin needs of the design of sustainable building and energy efficiency,” said Clearvue Interim Chief Executive Officer Douglas Hunt.

The processIt started in July 2024 and was led by the Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD), contained Clearvue’s Vision Glass PV -glazing technology that generates clean energy on the site and at the same time retain glass transparency.

The integrated units were installed on the Kowloon headquarters of EMSD, which made energy generation, thermal performance and impact on building energy efficiency of technology in a real-world environment.

Results of the test installation show a payback period of 4.6 years before subsidies, and when the Feed-in rate of the Hong Kong is applied, the payback period shrinks up to 2.6 years.

The study also shows that the glazing has reached a superior thermal insulation of 7.74 ° C lower internal surface temperature during peak heat in comparison with existing windows, and when the test results were used over a 40 -storey building with a window to a ratio of 50%, they can be the combined benefits of the combined benefits of the combined benefits of the combined benefits of the combined benefits of the combined benefits of the combined benefits of the combined benefits of the combined benefits combined. cover solar acades solutions on 125% of the annual energy needs.

“The Technology of Clearvue presents a paradigm shift in the way glass will be used when building and construction … It can transform a glass building into a PV -Array on solar energy,” EMSD said in its report.

Hunt said that the successful completion of the process is an important validation of the technology of the Perth headquarters.

“These remarkably independently recorded results show that the significant impact that Clearvue Solar VIG can have when driving a sustainably built environment,” he said.

“These results offer a powerful case -verified case study for architectsDevelopers and building owners. The short payback time make implementing our solutions a logical choice. “

Hunt said that the company will now look at the results of the test to stimulate commercial opportunities in Hong Kong and other important markets in Asia.

The release of the test results will be made after Clearvue had signed an agreement with Landglass in Hong Kong earlier this month to develop a new sun base with innovative glazing products that combine thermal insulation and solar energy generation.

Clearvue and Landglass daughter Landvac have a non-binding 12-month memorandum of agreement inked to investigate, to develop, produce and commercialize a new class of solar-vacuum-gorulatics.

The proposed new assortment of the Joint Venture company is expected to initially be vacuum-insulated solar vision glass and solar roof windows, strand racks and upholstery, probably co-fireed and brought on the market through the established global distribution networks and licensees of both companies.
