The new stream series from Ecoflow, the second-generation Balcony Sun factory, makes battery coordination and plug-and-play solar-zonne energy possible for distributed batteries, plus external microinverter coordination for its new battery.
The American Ecoflow has unveiled its stream series, a balcony solution of the second generation that replaces the company’s previous power stream line with an improved battery integration that promotes distributed batteries within home and network options.
The new battery-oriented approach offers significant technical improvements, including AI-driven coordination between several units and compatibility with third-party equipment. In short, a battery or more batteries may be connected in the kitchen or the living room of an apartment, while they are synchronized with the rest of the balcony solar energy plant.
Four systems are offered. One is designed to integrate with an existing inverter, the Stream AC Pro. The other three, the stream Ultra X, Stream Ultra and Stream Pro, each contains a stream micro -rumor, smart plug, smart meter, solar modules and battery.
Battery models and important differentiators
Three models share the same 1.92 kWh capacity, although each stream system and battery have different needs:
- Stream Ultra (1.92 kWh): Has integrated micro-microsmer with 2,800 W PV input with double mode (combining direct PV and microinverter inputs) and 4 MPPT channels at 500 W each. The battery weighs 23.1 kg.
- Stream Pro (1.92 kWh): offers 2,300 W PV -inang with 3 MPPT channels with 500 W each, where the battery weigh 22.8 kg.
- Stream Ultra X (3.84 kWh): Premium model with a double capacity and 2,800 W PV input with double mode with 4 MPPT channels. (Availability that comes later.)
- Stream AC Pro (1.92 kWh): The AC Pro is called a “satellite battery”, is designed for compatibility with existing micro-formers, accepts 800W AC input of third-party equipment and weighs 21.5 kg.
All models use LFP batteries (lithium iron phosphate) that Ecoflow says they retain at least 70% capacity after 6000 cycles. The system is IP65 water -resistant for outside installation and works in temperatures as low as -20 ° C using self -warming Nanobilm technology. Ecoflow says that it offers less than 30 dB levels and a graphene canal passive cooling system.
Stream vs. Power stream
The new stream series from Ecoflow builds on the original power stream by expanding the compatibility of the inverter, in particular with micro-rooters from third parties, and to introduce a hybrid inverter-battery system instead of individual units.
The updated stream models also support a higher AC output to 2,300 W in double mode, compared to the previous 800W and make direct battery-to-grid connection possible via standard wall broadcasts, without extra wiring required.
The AI-driven network function of Ecoflow, which makes coordinated effect over multiple batteries possible, works with a smart meter. Energie travels to and from the schedule, not included in the house.
The Ultra power costs € 1,099 ($ 1,250), or € 999 to 31 May, with the pro at € 999 and AC Pro for € 799, all exceptional VAT, which Ecoflow Notes is due to “offering transparent prices and flexibility in tax calculation.” The series will switch from presale to general availability on 15 May 2025.
The product launch was in Germany, but is available on a large scale in Europe, with availability in the United Kingdom later.
An Ecoflow representative said that the Ultra X model with a higher capacity “after June” will be released, but cannot yet give an indication of prices.
