Equity Solar Illinois (ESI) has announced that it has ratified the first community of Illinois in the Equity category category. The 3.26 MWDC Cattail Solar Project in Fulton, Illinois, is an important step in promoting the participation of the state to renewable energy sources and expanding the workforce of clean energy.
“We recognize education and access to opportunities are obstacles to participation in clean energy,” said Rena Henderson, ESI Principal. “We work to overcome those barriers and offer economic savings and development opportunities to the communities in which we are active.”
Cattail Solar has 15 subscribers, consisting of Illinois cities and small businesses.
“From the countryside from Illinois to the city of Chicago, we believe that everyone should be able to participate in and take advantage of the revolution of the clean energy,” said Marcellus H. Moore, Jr., ESI director. “We are enthusiastic about this first project and will constantly work to connect our efforts in the countryside in the countryside and to balance with opportunities in urban areas in the entire state.”
