Etica battery Announced that the UL 1973 certificate of Compliance received from CSA Group for its ECO-06 series Lithium-Ion battery racks. The Etica batteries are the first to use immersion technology and receive the UL certification.
“Reaching UL 1973 is proof that our immersed systems are making a new bar for safety and performance,” said Jaime Hidalgo, CEO and co-founder of EiCaag. “This recognition validates the work of our teams in the US and Taiwan and positions us to continue with UL 9540A, the next critical step for fire safety validation.”
Duberdinage cooling (Etica Battery’s Liquidshield) immersion cells in a non-escape, dielectric liquid, eliminating sources of ignition, maintaining uniform cell terms and the active prevention of fire propagation.
“Thermal control is central to both safety and financial performance,” said Matthew Ward, President of EiCaag. “Alternating cooling not only prevents burning, but keeps the batteries in their design parameters, which extends the lifespan and the storage economy is improved.”
