First solar energy to distribute solar panels to DG market via Guided Path Solar

Guided Path SolarA solar product distributor based in Texas and the Distributed Generation (DG) market, will soon have the first Solar Cadmium Telluride (CDTE) solar panels that are available through the distribution channel.

“Guided Path Solar is powered by a desire for a more sustainable and responsible solar industry, making this partnership one with shared core values,” said Dr. Mounir El Asmar, first Solar’s head of IPPs and strategic accounts. “We look forward to working with Guided Path Solar to expand the access of the American DG market to our advanced thin film PV technology.”

Guided Path Solar offers First Solar’s Series 6, Series 6 Plus and Series 7 modules to its customer base for projects of all shapes and sizes. Usually used on projects on Nuts scale, the large panels of First Solar will now be available for a commercial scale looking for domestic content requirements.
