US-based Fluence Energy has launched its latest schedule battery energy storage system (BESS) SmartStack, with an innovative design that facilitates logistics and maintenance, while providing a high energy density.

The system has 314 AH cells and offers up to 7.5 MWh of energy storage. The architecture of the patent of the industry breaks away from the industrial standard 20-foot container that splits the system into units with easier-propagated weight and dimensions.

Driven by the demand for higher efficiency and cost reduction, Bess increasingly contains cells with high capacity (3xx AH and beyond) on grid -scale. However, this has given rise to New challenges in the field of logisticsEspecially on European soil, where there is a 40 -ton limit for vehicles on the roads in many countries.
