Fortress Power introduces 9.6 kWh stackable home battery – PV Magazine International

Fortress Power revealed its new residential lithium-iron-IRON-Fosphate-energy storage system for residential projects.

The battery is built with independent modular units with 9.6 kWh and can be stacked on three units that bring 28.8 kWh. Multiple Ephorce batteries can be connected for a maximum of 153 kWh in power.

Fortress Power said that the batteries can be installed in parallel with a cable system. The device can be connected to the cloud and an app for monitoring and firmware updates.

“Each pile connects an emergency switch and real-time status LEDs via the EWAY, a specialized Wireway with built-in bus bars, piping gates. The envy where 12 kW inverter bolts directly on the eWay, “said Fortress Power.

The Eforce battery can be used with Fortress Power’s Envy line of inverters, tailored to 8 kW, 10 kW and 12 kW units. Both the battery and the inverter are assessed for indoor and outdoor installation and for both wall mounting and ground confirmation configurations. It has an active heating system for resilient adaptations in cold weather.

The batteries have 48 v nominal voltage and a 3000 A, five millisecond short -circuit protection. The Eforce battery has a craftsmanship of 10 years and manufacturer warranty3,000 cycles at 100% depth, or 8,000 cycles on a dismissal of 70%, depending on what happens first.

The product is available in North America and Latin America and is compatible with both the net connected and off-grid applications.

Fortress Power said that the product is NEC and NEPA code compliance, has an IP65 design for all weather conditions and is assessed for UL 1973, UL 9540 and UL 9640A safety standards.
