Gambia looking for project supervisor for Solar Minigrid – PV Magazine International

The Gambia Office of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is looking for a contractor to supervise a solar -Minigrid installation and to support the tendering process for an installation program. Applications will close on 10 June.

The Gambia Office of the Undp is looking for a supervisor to supervise the installation of a solar themirage.

The Tender details Suppose the scope of the work will be to supervise the Microgrid installation in an unnamed rural community, which ensures compliance with technical specifications and quality standards, as well as an evaluation and cleaning up technical reports.

The chosen contractor will also be responsible for support in the tendering process to select an installation program, by giving technical input to clarifications from bidders and participating in the technical evaluation of the bids.

They will also insure it Designs, materials and craftsmanship meet the requirements set in the contract. The deadline for applications is 10 June.

The UNDP office of Gambia says that the installation of solar cleansrides supports the aim of the government to excite 100% of the population by 2030 and to increase the share of renewable energy to 30% of the total installed capacity.

Figures from the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena) show that Gambia had installed 25 MW Solar by the end of 2024, against the commissioning of a year earlier 23 MW project In March 2024. In October 2024, a tender was opened for one 50 MW Solar-Plus storage project.
