Goodleap announced the expansion of his participation in the Demand Side Grid Support Program (DSGS) of California. GoodLeaP is now managed and bears GoodLeaP in the California Virtual Power Plant (VPP) program in its second year and now contributes 5 MW stored battery capacity to the schedule when it is most needed to provide approximately 3,600 houses with two hours of electricity. With a rapid registration from the customer, GoodLeap is on course to reach more than 60 MW of the total capacity towards the end of the season – an increase in the total capacity of more than 30x.
With the recent vote to expand the option 4 of the DSGS program to include other verifiable taxes, Goodleap will now also contribute to strategic tax reduction by managing smart thermostats. The Goodleap Energy Management System (Gems), its own multi-Der software, integrates with leading Smart Home brands, including Google Nest, EcoBee and Honeywell. Via precious stones, GoodLeap will manage a fleet of thermostats in periods with a lot of application when the schedule needs the tax reduction, which increases the accessibility of the program considerably for an estimated 18 million homeowners in California.
“The energy landscape of California is transforming and creating unprecedented challenges for raster stability and consumer costs,” said Lotano, Chief Operating Officer of GoodLeap. “Our improved shipping and tax reduction possibilities and our increasing footprint in the DSGS program are a crucial step forward in building the resilience of the community, while at the same time providing tangible economic benefits to both utility companies and homeowners.”
Gems currently manages the batteries of homeowners from leading solar brands, including Tesla, Enphase and SolarEdge, which automatically send power to the grid when this is most necessary. This seamless integration of multiple devices makes broader participation in local and regional VPP programs possible, so that the grid is stabilized and at the same time expands access to clean energy. By using existing distributed infrastructure in Huizen, the VPP from GoodLeaP avoids the need for new land use and costly centralized power generation – delivering meaningful environmental and economic value to communities in California.
Participants are not only rewarded with benefits for the resilience of the schedule, but also with a leading compensation earnings up to $ 250 in combined one-off welcome bonuses and participation reward during the season. In contrast to other providers who may only offer a one -off stimulus, GoodLeaP provides continuous financial benefits for continuous participation, which rewarded customers to support the Clean Energy Future of California. This year, in total, this year, GoodLeap would expect to distribute more than $ 150,000 in cash on participating homeowners, allowing families to benefit from their role in scheduling stability and sustainability.
