Located on a closed portion of a family gravel farm, the project turned unproductive land into a clean energy source. The 500 kWAC The solar project serves nearby farms, the city of Brighton and the Newport Ambulance Service, a not-for-profit regional ambulance service covering 18 cities in three counties.

“This project embodies our mission to deliver clean energy, provide generational revenue sources for landowners, support local businesses and revitalize underutilized spaces,” said David Carpenter, VP of Development and Chief Legal Officer, Green Lantern Solar. “We had the opportunity not only to develop this project, but at the same time help the landowner achieve full compliance with existing land use permits. We are pleased to see the entire commercial ecosystem around this project flourishing under Sea Oak Capital’s management.”

Green Lantern has sold more than a half-dozen solar projects in Vermont to Sea Oak Capital.

“Community solar projects are a cornerstone of our growth strategy,” said Dan Poydenis, CEO of Sea Oak Capital. “Our partnerships with Green Lantern Solar consistently deliver impactful results, supporting Vermont’s sustainable energy goals while creating meaningful energy cost savings for local businesses.”
