GreenLancer integrates SolarGrade software for project O&M

Green Lancera national solar energy contractor, carries this out SolarGrade Software to support its residential and commercial solar field services.

GreenLancer commissions SolarGrade to support its fieldwork activities.

“We chose SolarGrade because their team’s deep understanding of solar quality is embedded in their intuitive software platform,” said Pat McCabe, COO of GreenLancer. “Unlike every other app we tested, SolarGrade is purpose-built for solar technicians and office teams to complete service calls correctly.”

Since launching its nationwide home solar repair services in August 2025, GreenLancer has built a network of nearly 200 field service partners to support solar projects whose original installers have gone bankrupt, leaving owners without support to complete installation or conduct ongoing solar operations and maintenance.

“Fast and accurate field work is critical for businesses and homeowners with orphaned PV systems that are not yet operational. At the same time, every jurisdiction and funder has complex requirements that must be met before systems are deployed and approved for use,” said Lauren Durbin, director of field services at GreenLancer. “We selected the SolarGrade app because it helps enforce these requirements while maintaining speed and consistency in the field.”

SolarGrade manages a database of project documentation relevant to the commissioning and maintenance of solar projects. The platform stores data on components, warranties and permits, which is essential for O&M purposes.

“When solar and storage field work is overlooked and poorly documented, costly failures and errors are common. SolarGrade eliminates these mistakes,” said David Penalva, CEO and co-founder of SolarGrade. “As GreenLancer’s solar field operations software provider, we applaud and support their work to transform orphan systems into high-performing assets that will stand the test of time.”
